Conducting "On Farm Testing" for identifying technologies in terms of location
specific sustainable land use systems. The assessment of various available
technologies are done and best suitable practice is recommended for farmers to
use. Subsequently location specific refinements in assessed technique is also
done.
Organize front-line demonstrations in adopted villages on various crops and
techniques to generate production data and feedback information. The
demonstrations are carried out on oilseed and pulse crops, other major cereals
crops and horticultural crops of the area. The farmers are shown scientific
cultivation practices and improved agriculture implements on their land.
Organize short and long-term vocational training courses for the farmers,
farm-women and rural youths on various topics of different disciplines to
provide them theoretical and practical knowledge of improved and latest
agriculture technologies.
In-service trainings are also conducted for extension functionaries. The
employees of State Agriculture departments like RAEO, RHEO, surveyors etc. are
given trainings about latest improvements in agriculture field through various
tools and methods. The people of Non Governement Organizations also gets
in-depth knowledge about improved technology in In-Service Training.
