Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kasturbagram, Indore has a well-equipped modern Soil & Water Testing Lab. In this lab testing of Soil pH, EC and organic carbon, N, P, K, S is being done and subsequent report with recommendation of fertilizer doses for next crops is given to the farmers. Farmers can take benefit of this facility on very nominal charge.

A well-established Home Science Lab is also available with KVK in which the women trainees are given practical training of various tasks like: Craft work Stitching of cloths Preparation of fruit and vegetable preservatives Preparation of nutritive foods including Soya dishes Pickles, Jam and Jelly preparation Preparation of Decorative items Making toys, begs, artificial jewelry etc. Various modern equipments, charts, models etc. are used for demonstration during the training to facilitate the trainees to understand the subject matter easily and quickly.

There is a well-established Information Centre cum meeting hall in the KVK campus. There is a vast collection of charts, models, pictures; display boxes related to various branches of agriculture is available for its visitors. To educate the trainees, KVK uses advanced tools like LCD, Overhead projector, Television, Slide projector etc.

There is a well-furnished mess with dining hall and a hostel of 40 beds for staying the trainees in the campus.

KVK has 50 acre of land. Out of 50 acre, 45 acre land is for agricultural purpose. Trainees farmers are given demonstration of improved agriculture techniques here. Various trial of growing improved seed are conducted here. At present seed production programme of Soybean is being taken on 37 acre in collaboration with N.R.C.S. Indore and the crop condition is very good. Apart from this other crops like maize, arhar, potato and other seasonal crops are also taken up.

There is a vermicompost preparation unit at the KVK instructional farm. The unit is used for demonstration of making vermicompost to the farmers/trainees by low cost method. The produce of this unit is used in KVK at its instructional farm and also sold to the farmers.

KVK has a good collection of books in its library. Books on topics of all disciplines like agronomy, horticulture, home science, plant protection, agriculture engineering, animal husbandry and agriculture extension are available in library. Various monthly, fortnightly and quarterly magazines are subscribed. Agriculture newspapers and daily newspapers are also available for readers.

To store produce of Instructional Farm, KVK has got a Godown. Similarly for threshing purpose a threshing floor has also been constructed near to Godown.
